I know Argus is one of the least desirable brand names because they are in the low-end of the digital camera spectrum.

However ....

$99 bucks for a 2.1 MP digicam with 8mb memory + CompactFlash slot, and 1.5in LCD screen, is a great deal!+ free shipping

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000683A0/qid=1028161034/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/002-6635984-7288825

or just search amazon for Argus DC3500

no amazon user reviews yet, and no info i could find on the web or at the usual review sites.

hope this works for somebody :)

Checks and Postal Money Orders

We accept checks or money orders denominated in U.S. dollars as payment for most orders, with the following exceptions, which must be paid by credit card or check card:

1-Click orders
Cell phones and service
Computers
E-books
Downloadable software
Orders for gift certificates
Orders from Amazon Marketplace, Auctions and zShops sellers

If you do choose to pay by check, you can send payment to the address below once you have fully submitted your order. Please be sure to write your e-mail address on the check or money order so we may properly credit your account.

Amazon.com
Billing Department
P.O. Box 80463
Seattle, WA 98108
USA

Currently we are only able to accept postal money orders denominated in U.S. dollars or checks denominated in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank. Checks must also have a valid nine-digit bank routing number (ABA code) MICR-encoded on the bottom of the check.

Note: All checks will be authorized using Telecheck check verification service. Returned checks will be referred to Telecheck for collection and will be subject to the maximum returned check fee allowed by law.

Paying by check does slow down your order somewhat, as we don't order your items until your check is received, and we don't ship the items to you until your funds clear. If you are in the United States, paying by personal check typically delays your order two to three weeks.

Available funds from checks are not designated to specific orders. As per Amazon.com policy, we will ship the first available order for which there are sufficient funds.

No Digital Zoom??

Why on earth would you want a digital zoom?? Optical is a must, but digital is better done AFTER you take the picture (photoshop) with better results.

Well, digital or optical, this camera has neither -- no zoom! I guess it's cheap for a reason. ;)

Anyway, if combined with a $20 off coupon that expires tonight:( , it's hard to beat at $80! :)

I got a working coupon, for $80 this is really tempting. Should I get it? Or would a 1mp camera with some zoom features(so you can focus) be better?

BTW..if you dont have a $20 off coupon, you could use the coupon to get you a free 32mb compact flash card, its on amazons web page.

Sorry having some problems posting, but what the heck is this sourcing fee of $90? i have a digital camera from these guys (not this one), it's a piece of junk.
actually, i have two (one still in box unopen). can't even hold a light to my Nikon 995. Of course, it doesn't cost as much as my 995 either. I guess you get what you pay for.

that's exactly right
but it's a good cam for beginners, if it's the same as the kodak...

AsukaStrikes, lmao. Originally quoted by AsukaStrikes: "the extra $90 is to hire mystical wizards that conjure the digital camera from its source." No doubt, I agree. Maybe take a chance @ $100 or less, but not $200.

:D

Austonia-
You really should change the thread's title, as the camera is now showing up for $189.99, not $99. Big difference, especially considering the brand.

Toshiba3020-
I've got dibs on that camera, if you end up not liking it! (For $80 why not, right?)
