Isn't that the normal price, or is this the old iPhone?

They dropped the price on the new iPhone 3g's compared to the old ones, but the minimum service went up by $10.

the new iphone is not on sale yet so i assume its the old one. I emailed them to see what they say but I dunno this must be scam because its to good to be true.

why would you buy this when the 3g model will be the same price for 8gb? Don't want to wait 3 weeks?

New one = 2 yr contract before you leave the store.
Old one = No contract.

You could technically get a new 3G iPhone without a contract if you pay $199 for phone+$175 Early Termination Fee+whatever the first month of service costs...so basically, a lot more than what a first-gen iPhone would cost.

I bet there will be a lot of older 1st Gen 8gb iPhones on the market soon for around $199 w/out a contract. IMHO that's a much better deal than $199 + locked into a $1680 min phone bill over 2 years.

Their domain registration is a proxy/undisclosed, and this thread on howardforums says:

UPDATE!!! My buddy isn't getting his phone after all. Well it turns out Itsinstock.com doesn't have any Cingular 8125s in stock! WOW, talk about false advertisement. Right now that I checked the site, 03/16/06 @ 5:59PM PST, it says they have 9996 units in stock. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!

Sheesh! These bozos are almost within walking distance of my place, and I wouldn't waste the effort.

Unless it was to walk in the front door w/ a Lousiville Slugger and ask 'em which one of 'em was the one who decided it was a good idea to waste my time & piss me off with their little iPhone charade on the website!!

QFT. Unless, of course, you really NEED 3G. (And live in an area where you can actually use it.)

City Wireless is the name at the top of the page.

"27868 Units in Stock" - uh, OK.

OK So I went to this "store" DOES NOT EXIST! The phone number it gives is a law office and the address lead me to a Subway restaurant. I stupidly sent in my info on itsinstock.com. Whatever it really is, its a scam. Don't bother with this thing. Im a totally freaked out that they have my info.
