Would be a great deal if $36.00 was the correct price. Oh well. Amazon needs to take care of things.

Put it in your cart and it shows up as $164.95. Looks like Amazon is having pricing problems.

I figured as much. Should I be able to call them and they should honor the price? I looked for a phone number but I can't seem to find one.

Nope, you will find that they will not honor the lower price. Almost all websites have disclaimers stating that they are not responsible for typographical errors, or some such verbiage.

There have been companies in the past that have honored outrageously good deals (obviously an error on their website), and they were highly praised for doing so, but it is certainly not the norm.

The most you can usually hope for is an "I'm sorry" gift certificate or coupon towards a future purchase. However, Amazon rarely does that, and usually all you get from them is a letter stating that there was a pricing error, and you can go back to their site and authorize the order at the correct price if you still want it.

This is kind of fun - Linksys BEFSR11 1-Port Etherfast Cable/DSL Router at Amazon shows $18, in cart price is $84.95.

sikman1, that would be considered FRAUD and highly frowned upon here. I want a good deal as much as the next guy, but not by robbing the very vendors I use on a regular basis. You do what you think is best.

It's very hard to say if Staples B&M would be willing to PM that misprice (if it is one). They'd have a really puzzled look on their faces. Also, they may call Amazon.com CSR, then that person would check it out, but if the CSR weren't informed about the misprice right now, then you might be able to buy it at the local Staples. It's worth a shot. If it's stil there when you go to the Staples, just pull up the Amazon page where you found it. I've done that on a number of hot deals in the past, and they've OKed most of them. Godd luck. :)

Amazon checkout isn't working for me (at password point). I'm getting this message when I try to log in: "We're sorry, but we encountered an error when processing your request. Please try again. " Are you having this problem too?

This is what I think...

I was bored so i went thru the Linksys store, all the different Linksys products, and i'd say about 40% of them are MIS-PRICED....but....it got me thinking some amazon CSR, probably put the price in the wrong form on their database or something like that. If you look at those mis-priced items, they are all very low.....i THINK the amazon person was suppose to put those as "YOU SAVE" prices and then their internal software would calculate "our price:" from the list price if that was given or you save percentage....its very easy math....thats just what I think....

I haven't gone back since this morning, watch its changed to my above theory and your all gonna say I got it from there, LOL, :)
