Linky to Case

To me this seems like a pretty good deal for an aluminum case($39.99 with free shipping / no PS). Even though it is probably molded versus stamped. They've got them in different colors if you don't like the red. Also to make the deal a bit sweeter they have a 5 dollar off coupon on their website for any purchase over $55. I just bought the red one with a 400w Skyhawk PS for $52 shipped. I will let you know about the quality of the case but for aluminum it is hard to complain.

I looked at that but I was not to hip on the stars on the front. I believe that the full front faceplate is plastic where the 39.99 has aluminum and plastic on the faceplate. Still 29.99 isn't that bad for any case.

I'm not sure about the quality of that Skyhawk case, but I just bought a Skyhawk Matrix case and it's about as good as my Antec case.
Only thing that it weighs about 1/2 of what my Antec does :D

Skyhawks are OK but they do have poor ventilation as a rule. They usually don't have 80 mm blowhole on the back and Skyhawk is stubbornly making cases like that. That is a major drawback, otherwise they are fine.

you are right about the 80mm as it is only 60mm but that shouldn't be to big of an issue as you can get fans that can match most 80mm in air flow (even though they might be a bit loud) but to compensate they do have an optional cpu ventiduct system that uses an 80mm fan which is probably better than just having the 80mm rear fan......then again i have yet to receive my case and have not tested it yet.

I have a similiar skyhawk case which arrived last thursday. Overall it's a solid case with it's main attraction being it's looks and cost. The two listed there both have .8 MM aluminum which can tend to scratch if you don't take care of it. Like the other guy said, the fan in the back is only 60mm and there are no front holes for ventilation. Other than that, these cases are great looking and won't break the bank. You could do a lot worse in value aluminum cases.

yeah the matrix case I received only had a 60mm exhaust but also had an 80mm fan housing that sits right on top of the cpu

Hey, thanks for the info. I ordered one of the $29.99 cases with the extra duct and fan bar. Shipped it came to $42.49. Not bad for aluminum. I ordered an X-Dreamer from SVC last week. I'm curious to see which case design ends up keeping my system cooler.

I've always found those "cheaper" aluminum cases use very thin aluminum which makes them very flimsy.
