I went in to BB today looking for a Lexmark Z-series Photo carterage found one (not too many stores carry any thing other than Black and Color) $$39 for 1 but they have a digital Image printing suite that covers most the Z-series as well as Polroid and Compaq rebadges for $10 more!

you get 2 photo carts ($30 savings)
some 4X6 glossyPhotopaper
something else I forgot already.

If you got in on some of the Hot Deals on digicams and own a Lexmark or rebadge this is a great price!

I own a Lexmark Z-23 (the cheapest one) and I need to get a new cartridge. I'm thinking of getting those printer injection kits that advertise on TV (about $15). Anybody tried these yet?

Yeah, I got one of those refill kits for my Z11 and it worked good for a little while, then it dried out and got all nasty and gooey.

it's almost cheaper to buy a new printer (through hot deals, of course) than to buy refill carts.

I HIGHLY recommend getting a full PINT of ink for your lexmark printer for about $40. Check this place out: bulk-ink link Cost for a full pint is $40.50 or so including shipping. I bought a very decent kit from fillmore inkjets and it was I believe 5 oz for $25 or so, so this is a much better deal. In fact since you can supposedly only refill a cartridge 3-6 times, this will outlast your cartridge two times over easily (though I am on about my 8th refill and it is working fine). The important thing about refills is you must get the right ink for your printer! All ink is not the same. If you want to call this place, you can call tollfree 1-888-728-2465 9 AM to 9 PM EST Mon-Thur, til 5 PM Fri/Sat. One other note, with lexmark cartridges you need to drill a hole in the top. You'll also need a hypodermic needle. This place sells them, but I am still reusing the one I got with my kit from fillmore. They seem quite knowledgeable and friendly, so just call if you have questions. They also sell color ink, and ink by the quart and gallon, but that seemed like serious overkill! I bet a pint outlasts my darn z22 or whatever I have. They sell for all brands of inkjet printers, with the ink formulation specified for your brand. The above link lets you look it up. It is a little outdated in terms of the printers listed but a phone call will clear up exactly what you need. Tell them "Hugh" sent you. I don't get a commission or anything that I'm aware of, but they were very nice to me and it will probably freak them out to have a dozen of you mention my name.

Enjoy!

There is a place in Western Canada (BC) that will reload your Cartridges at what seems a very reasonable price. They wanted about 1/2 of the commercial prioce for cartridges and that was in $C. With the C$ at 60% of the U$ you are spendin about 1/3 the commercial price.

I was turned onto this site via a obscure post reference in HD about 4 months ago.

I will post the E-Mail address tomorrow.

i bought two z12's just for the ink cartridges. The printers were half the price of the cartridges at the time. The printers remain unused. Can I sell them on ebay?

My g/f gets inkjet cartridges for those cheap lexmark printers on Ebay for dirt cheap, I mean dirt cheap. - even w/shipping. I've seen the black quality and it's decent. Just in case anybody cares?
