So essentially, a single 3' cable would be $5.80+sh, a single 6' cable would be $6.25+sh. However, still a decent deal...a few months ago I purchased a TOSlink cable for my laser at $15+tax, and that was the sale price.

ggod prices, as long as you buy lots of stuff, otherwise look out for shipping. my charge for shipping one cable was given as $8.80 USPS priority mail -- and I love only one state away from ohio. not to mention, I know for a fact that this REALLY costs $3.50 to ship priority mail. markup is almost as bad as an ebay DIMM auction

partsexpress rocks.

they have bulk Canare and Monster cable for dirt cheap for the DIY people. Their shipping seems a little expensive but is fairly consistent. When I spent upwards of $200-$300 in parts, the shipping was still around $10. So it would seem they factor in the cost of the packaging but don't screw you over on fake USPS rates.

The best price I've found on optical cables is, believe it or not, at a B&M. BestBuy today had 3' cables for 11.99 and 6' cables for 14.99. I'm about to go try it out on my DVD player...

Well I just made it back from Parts Express.

Here's what I picked up:

Optical 6' Cable: 2 @ 3.25

Optical to Coax Converter: 2 @ 13.80

I still had to go to the Rat Shack and pick up two universal DCs for $9.99 ea.

The optical to coax converter is great for devices that only output optical. Most receivers have a few coax inputs but zero or 1 optical / toslink input.


Parts Express has all kinds of cool gadgets and adapters. I'll definitely go back again.
