Staples only accepts PRICEMATCH OR COUPON, ONLY ONE NOT BOTH.

edit: darn straight YMMV...if the people who work the staples you shop at know staples policy you will only get the pricematch in, or you can take the coupon which ever you the consumer want.

you are joking right?

edit:
here you are with a $30 off $150 coupon in your left hand, and an office depot flyer in your right, ready to make this deal happen at staples. You get the 2 80 gig drives. You show them both things. Staples policy stays they will only accept whats in one hand or the other, as in, you can either give them the pricematch from officedepot or you can give them the coupon, your choice. Staples policy says they will not accept BOTH on a single purchase.

tokar, you need to relax. you're not the staples police, are you? don't get so worked up, nobody cares.

this deal is a ymmv, and i have done both pm and used a coupon. good luck, it's definitely worth a shot.

another possible way to do it is to just buy it from od and use a staples coupon or two od $20 off coupons.

Very well could work, especially considering there are printable emails w/ the $30 of 150 coupons. YMMV, but a hot deal if u can get in on it.

Here's a way to POSSIBLY get 1 of these drives for $-11.47 AR:

[*]Purchase 4 of these drives at OfficeDepot.com ($128.53ea x 4) @ $514.12
[*]Apply an OD "$100 off $500" cpn
[*]After your order arrives, return 3 of the 4 HDDs to a LOCAL OD B&M ($128.53ea x 3) @ $-385.59
[*]Submit the OD $40 MIR

Math: $514.12 - $100 cpn - $385.59 refund - $40MIR = $-11.47 (+ tax on $28.53)

NOTE 1: If your local OD B&M asks why you're returning 3 of the HDD's, tell them you didn't realize that at the time of the order the rebate offer was only valid on ONE PURCHASE PER HOUSEHOLD.

NOTE 2: If you local OD B&M insists on taking back the $100 coupon, return the 4th HDD to wipe out the entire transaction. This way all you'll have lost is the time spent and perhaps gas $$$ to drive to your local OD B&M.

NOTE 3: I'm slapping this method with a HUGE YMMV!

[*]Link to drive @ OD (Item #678133)
[*]Link to OD $40 MIR

Please put "PM" in the post title.

Boldly stating "NO REBATES" but failing to put PM in there is not very informative. It is nice to know how many hoops you are going to have to jump through before you even open the thread.
