hmm can't tell any difference between al1912 and al1914 except a $30 difference

by the way, is >300 cd/m^2 (brightness) preferred? msot of the lower quality monitors seem to be 250/260 and the more expensive at 300. And then there is the contrast ratio but 500:1 seems to be the bar.
