Good price but the one year warranty scares me. I had one monitor fail after 15 months (Compaq) and they said they don't fix them. So I was out of luck and my $$$$. Seems that many of the manufacturers are offering 3 year warranties.

Hmm.... Guess this isnt as hot as I thought.... I figured the price on the 17" wouldve had ppl jumping...(ppl with $$ that is)

You should get the Planar from Dell, it's only like $500 something, and it comes with a 3 year warranty. I personally would get the Dell 17inch, which is a very good quality monitor, not even one dead pixel.

Thanks, that is a very good price consideing those excellent specs except they do NOT spec the viewing angle. My Dell laptops have a very poor viewing angle and yet the Dell desktop monitors are great. Since this is from Winbook, which sells laptops, I would want to see that spec.
As to warranty, of course a CC gets you the 2nd year free.

hmm concerned about the 6 bit, 16.7 million colors by dithering... does it mean it only supports 16bitss(typo?) an gets 24bit color by dithering????
