Got this in the mail from Chase Platinum. A 0.00% APR MC for 12 months on balance tranfers. Well, this saves me over a GRAND in interest for the next year. :D Transfer fee maxes out at only $45 with this offer, usually its $50. Rate for purchases is 11.9% for Platinum and 15.99% for the regular card. This rate is not my main concern, since I carry a 7.99% Providian card for purchases. When the year is up, I'll just cancel and jump to the next card with a low intro rate. ;)

The only thing this offer required was my SS# and signature. No phone # on this offer. This offer does not appear on their website. Don't know if you can get it if you ask them. The best they offer online is 2.9% for 6 months.

If you've got that high of a balance on existing cards I wouldn't count on getting approved for another one...

I would suggest posting this in the unified Credit Card Hot Deals thread. Since this offer is not mentioned on Chase's website I would suggest posting the toll free phone number they included with their offer.

I got the same mail like 2 days ago. They offer me 15.99% APR for purchase which I think is a bit high, esp when today's INT rate is so low. Am I demanding too much?

Don't get me wrong, this WOULD be a great deal, but don't they charge a 3% balance transfer fee?! I would honestly like to know. I have an Amex Blue with the 6-mo 0% is about to expire, and I wouldn't mine transferring (I have a $3,000+ balance). But if they charge 3% fee, I'll just pay it off cause I do have the money ready and waiting. I would be nice to place the stock market with the $3000 if I don't have to pay it for another 12-mo.

Best I have ever gotten with Chase was 9 months at 0% and the 3% Balance Transfer. If you are transferring a large balance (like $10,000 from buying a car) the 3% is irrelevant since it caps at $50 and is thus only .5%.

I'll be looking again in 5 months; hope it's around then.....

chase sucks....they sent me one of these offer a while back too, with up to $10000 credit line, etc. So I signed up and tried to transfer about $4000 from my citibank acct.
but for some reason, they can only give me $1000 credit limit! I called them back right away and cancelled the acct. But I guess the transfering part was handled by a different
department, so they went ahead and transferred $1000 to my citibank acct, but since now my acct is cancelled, with has 0 credit limit, so I got a bill for over the limit fee, and fortunately,
I contacted Chase in time, or else, I might get charge for the bounced check by citibank, etc. They just suck. If you do decided to take advantage of this offer, don't do the balance transfer
along with the application. At least find out how much your credit limit will be first. I don't know why they only gave me $1000 limit, my FICO score is 723.

Chase cut me a $5000 MasterCard with 12-month 0% APRY and fixed 12.99% thereafter a few weeks ago. It was sent in the mail though ... no phone number.
