AlvinKlein, thanks for your post of the ATIP info. CMC Magnetics is also the manufacturer of Imation, KHypermedia, Philips, and a portion of TDK and Memorex, to name just a few.

Yep, all of em are junk. Stick with Taiyo Yuden (Fuji, Tdk(sometimes), HP (sometimes)...etc, Verbatim, or Kodak. All good quality stuff. They last longer and don't have the compatibility problems of CMC Magnetics/Ritek/Prodisc Technology/Digital Storage Technology/ any other made in Taiwan crap.

Burned a buch of stuff with them, since I ran out last night. Work great on my 24x burner. Writing on them is a little pain, as they do not have a place for writing. Just write right across the top.

Sometimes we don't need CD's to last 100 years. These disks work fine. I have had no problem with CMC/Ritek disks so far.

Just got mine. I'd spend a little more just to get a place to write on. I'll just put a white stick on label from Staples I guess. Discs are as good as any CMC mags. People rate Taiyo Yudens too highly. THey're not worth their retail price. All that matters in the end is how good you take care of your cd's.
