just wanna check this gives me "everything" which I would call server space and an address... With the 2.99 yahoo that is JUST the domain, not the space and bandwith? A little confused right now ;)

Yes, this gives you server space and an address/domain (actually two), while yahoo 2.99 is just the domain.

Thanks OP!

not sure what to do with 768 gigs of transfer a month....i'll probably get 100 megs a month of transfer at MOST ;)

how long did it take for your guys addresses to appear? not just the .netfirms.com but the regular BLA.com

name protect? like domain locking? if that's what you mean, then yes, you have full domain control.

I wonder...

In the netfirms "control panel", you have the option to renew your contract.

I wonder if you could go in there and add another year for $10... ;)

Question: I'm trying to register now, but I can only add 1 domain name before the checkout button... How do I add two domain names for free?

think the consensus was that you can add the second domain a day or two after payment and everything clears.

Add as in purchase a new domain name for free or am I supposed to buy one for an extra fee? Oh well, I'll go ahead with it anyways...

You can add the 2nd domain in about 1 day after you sign up. They wait for your CC to clear before they release the 2nd domain. Just go to Add Domain and it will show a price of $0.00 when you check out.

OP link now shows 20GB. There was talk earlier in the thread that the 20 was crossed out and the deal was 40GB.

Was the 40GB on the main OP link or somewhere else? Maybe the 40 is dead.....???

Thanks Montano, that's exactly what I wanted to know and that's how it worked.

sollyman, yes I remember it used to being 40GB with the 20 crossed out, but it would seem that I too only have 20GB since I've signed up on the day of my last post... I suppose this is a big hit to those that are using this as a storage element.

Just got this deal, though it give you alot of space and pretty nice data transfer, ftp doesn't seem so fast, always getting dropped when i connect. no cpanel also =\

While not cpanel, I think the panel is good enough, and who cares when you're getting 20gb and two domains for $10!

Great deal OP. I was shocked to see 30 mySQL DBs after logging in.

i just signed up. i've been thinking about getting a website for a little while now, and $10/year is cheap enough to try.

thanks!

just got it yesterday. however, i don't like how you can't create your own ftp user/password combo unless i didn't do it right.
