Yes, I received an order confirmation and number.

Of course, it's just sitting at the moment, but it is there.

Thats why the title says 10/14 only.

I had to call to finally get my email confirmation.

So i splurged and got

3.0ghz 1mb cache
1gb DDR533
gf4 6800 GTO
16x dvd / 16x DL dvdrw
160GB SATA Hard Drive
Dual 2001FP 20.1" LCDs

All for 1973.86 after $100 MIR

This is the first big online dell deal I've seen... Is this standard procedure for dell at the end of each fiscal quarter? Should we expect bigger deals at the end of their fiscal year - in 3 months?

Hi wwu, this deal is way passed =)

And I think everyone is waiting till the end of this month... apparently fiscal year does not work on a normal calandar? End of October is the end of thie fiscal year or something... I recommend watchin the boards closely for crazier Dell deals toward the end of October.

OK - FIRST - DEAL DEAD - note 10/14...

Now, for Info - my order was supposed to ship today (10/20), but I got an email saying it would not ship till 10/29 (or later). I'm assuming they'll want to get it in before 10/31, but I was a little disappointed that they said 6 days, and now they are saying 15.

Oh, well - anyone else also encountering shipping delays on their Dimension systems???

It came to $1730 after MIR for me (2x2001FP, 3ghz, 1gb DDR2, X300 PCIe, 80g, etc)

+ $1830 - Initial Cost
- 99 - Shipping Rebate
- 315 - Sold my 17" LCD
- 1400 - Sold PC & 1 2001FP
----------------------------------

= $16 - Out of my pocket for a 2001FP
