Hosting a webpage under win2k

OK, I am going to buy a domain name in a couple days but I wanted to post this issue I keep having. Some of my webpages have lots of graphics and so the page size becomes about 50K+ with the graphics. When I try to view these webpages through my web server, lots of times images will be broken for no apparent reason. I'm running under Win2k Professional. Is there some setting I should be looking for?

Are you looking at it locally or from the Internet? My images break down when I look at them locally, but look fine through the Internet. I'm using w2k too.
