I think those fast food, instant, pastries are more an American thing. When I worked in 7-11 they never sold all that well.
 
The way I see it, I really should only have so much food that's "bad' for me. So why waste that on junk bad food. I'd much rather eat real "bad" food instead of nasty "bad" food. So good riddance. Though without reading the article, I'd imagine the Hostess is still going to sell food during and after the bankruptcy.

My favorite childhood memory is a snack with a cold twinky and glass of milk. I'll need to get me a box after work today for old times sake.
 
I was a BIG fan of twinkies as a child.


I had moved to the states when I was 7 so you can imagine my enthusiasm for Twinkies and hohos. Stuff was like crack.

😛 The krimpets aren't bad. I'm a bigger fan of the cakes and pies. Chocolate lovers Jr, black & white and cheesecake pies, om nom nom. I always looked forward to limited batches. I don't get Tastykake this far north 🙁 I always grab some when I journey to PA.

Here's the thing I don't get about most of these pastries. No flavour. It's all fluffy tasteless angel food cake type stuff with heavy cream, not much else.
