if you have a windows mobile you can synch up with exchange's push service - bunch of services out there that offer that for free. if you want your own alias (i.e. reply to being your own email address) some of these guys ask for a $10 or so donation...

do you have a blackberry or windows mobile or other?

BES Express is free for one user and $100 for each user after that. If oyu have your own mail server then you could install it at home.

we use mail2web for exchange push mail and it has been hiccup-free. Their BB service is more expensive but at least you know the QOS is good.

i started with mail2web. great service, but they make you pay for aliases.

so i set up my own 2003 server with exchange, with push and everything! took me better part of a week, works like a CHARM. best part - completely free, its on a pc that runs 24/7 anyway (its been rebooted once in 2 years), and i have 400gb quota ;)

I'm just weighing the pros and cons, I have 20 user bes 4.1 right now.. but for my own personal blackberry, I rather keep 1 machine on 24/7 just for emails.. which is why I'm looking to off load this to outside if it's cheaper.. ill take a look at these links.. thanks for the suggestions

Now if only I had a reliable internet connection and a nice upload speed I would agree with you. Fact is, we pay for the uptime.
