I was listening to 1430 am and I heard about this story, quite shocking. By this point the 15 year old child has been locked up in a hospital psyche ward completely cut off from her life, besides a short weekly visit from her parents - who are under a gag order, doped up on anti-psychotic medication and not receiving treatment for her condition, for almost a year.

There's really no good consensus on PANDAS yet, although current evidence points away from it being real. NIH isn't really declaring it a real entity yet eithet. The're still looking into it, despite the FAQ.
