Wife and I are going with some friends to a hole in the wall steakhouse for dinner tonight. I discovered putting horseradish on my prime rib and steaks a couple years ago, and I'm the only one in my group of friends/family that does it. I love that #$@%! Sometimes I'll ask for the creamy stuff, sometimes I'll just get the regular stuff to put on.

Edit: Popped my poll cherry lol

love it. we used to grow our own, super easy to grow and make your own horseradish sauce. The horseradish leaves are also amazing in a green shakshuka or in with other bitter greens for a kick.

I like horseradish, but I don't think I've tried it on a regular steak.

Lots of different dishes in the Danish kitchen uses it, so do what you want with your steak. :)

Yes, wife's family introduced me to horseradish on Prime Rib and it's really a delicious flavor pairing, the sharpness of the radish with the more rounded beef flavor is really superb.

That said its never my only go to, a good steak is meant to be enjoyed in many ways, so it's not like the only pairing (or any pairing) I'll have with my steak.

I don’t like prime rib, so there is that.

I am also a less is more guy. Not too much seasoning on the steak, I want to taste the meat. Just like pancakes, just a little syrup and butter on them.

Love it on prime rib, not on steak though. If steak is seasoned and seared properly, it doesnt need sauce or other topings.

Use it a schmear for grilled tri-tip sandwiches and of course prime rib - but haven't eaten prime rib in over a decade. Never put it on a regular steak.

Beaver is fantastic for HOT & the Woeber's is great for a mayo substitute on any old sammich
