Horrible music on SNL

For the last 3 weeks I've tuned into SNL and seen some talentless white girl get up on stage and sing like a black woman.

First of all, if she had any talent she wouldn't be singing in a voice that doesn't fit her person.

Second of all, if that's the type of music that SNL wants to play why can't they get a real black woman up there to sing it? It would probably be better and more legitimate than the corporate swill they've been playing.

I said nothing about having a big voice. The girl on TV doesn't have a big voice, but she pronounces her words like a black woman. The difference is that the female black singers I've seen sing like they speak, so it sounds legitimate. These white imposters are only emulating original singers. It's nothing more than generic corporate music, probably written on the 42nd floor of a record company highrise.

when you've got to book like 15+ live bands a year, you end up with some stinkers.

and there are a lot of bands that are great in the studio but suck live (radiohead comes to mind)
