HORRIBLE Battery Life On Acer 3002LCI?

At work we're an "Authorized Acer Reseller" and we sell new Acer laptops from our distributor. During the course of the time I worked there, we've had a number of these 3002LCi laptops. Even with the brightness on the lowest and the wireless off, this laptop gets only 1hr - 1:30. Why is this? It's got a 15" XGA, Sempron 2800+, 256MB RAM, 40GB 4200RPM HD. Heck my Sony PCG-R505GL with a 12.1in screen, 1.2GHz PIII-M, 640MB RAM, and upgraded 60GB 5400RPM Samsung Hard Drive gets 2-3hrs on the lowest brightness.

The speed on the 3002LCi isn't all that great either. This computer makes me question how other Acer laptops are. This one feels a little on the cheap side and possibly a little flimsy.

How many cells for the battery? What are the specs?

Cells it doesn't say. But I found somewhere that it may be a 4 cell battery. I've seen other Sempron systems getting 2hrs+. It's probably got a better battery though. I've seen a Compaq laptop with a 12 cell on 6hrs+ with a Centrino...it was nuts!
