The 4G iPod comes with the USB cable already, has a 12 hour battery life, and it is 100 dollars cheaper than the 3G. Any negatives still?Originally posted by: CraigRT
the battery life is ass.
and i personally think itunes sucks.
oh, also, it's firewire, unless you buy the $40 (Canadian) USB2.0 cable.
those are all negatives
on the positives, tonnes of storage!![]()

no i didnt get applecare, i have applecare on my laptop and have yet to use it, but i think i have sometime to upgrade to it if i want it. yea the battery life is suppose to be 12 hours, and it does come with a firewire and usb 2.0 cable, but no dock or case (20gb).
I prefer the CompUSA TAP because if the iPod dies, they will replace it with the new one (which is nice for me, because I have a 3G 40 GB iPod). i don't see anything enticing about the new 40 GB iPod, same exact size as previous 40 GB (my friend has a new one, and we put the on top of, next to, etc... and they were exactly the same). When the 60 GB comes out, maybe, just maybe, I will bring my 3G in, but right now the battery is fine, and I like the touch buttons better than mechanical ones.Originally posted by: caitlion

applecare on an ipod is just important because eventually the battery WILL die. it has a certain amount of recharges and then it will die ... its $60 for applecare and somewhere around that just to ship the ipod back to apple, plus the cost of repair, if you dont have it. why am i selling this to you? sorry.

Where the hell have you been? Most newer PC's, as long as it isnt the bottom line (which only get USB 1.1 anyway) have at least one FireWire port.Originally posted by: Anubis

compusa doesnt offer the replacement plan on ipods anymore though, so applecare is the only option left![]()
