I know this sounds stupid but what is the proper thing to do here? I only have one suit, its a nice suit but wont it look goofy if i show up in it for a 3rd time? Should I wear everything but the jacket and a new tie? Its just for signing paperwork and whatnot, thanks for any info.

go naked!

Make it hurt good!

Edit:

Just wear a dress shirt and slacks.

No need to get in a suit IMO.

Look good. First impressions are everything.

You have accepted employment. Although depending on dress of the company you accepted with it would be a good idea to match that.

-edit-
If those your spoke with wore a suit, then wear a suit. Basically follow the leader.

They are not as casual as the previous jobs i have had. Makes sense, but i wanted to make sure that I didnt look like a goof.

A goof is somebody that doesn't look sharp.

So look sharp and match or slightly above the dress of the people you talked to. It would be a good idea to simply ask "what is the dress there?".

IMHO there are only two modes - business casual and business.

Business = full on suit. Business casual = sharp pants/ironed and clean looking button down shirt, nice shoes, dark socks. Make a good first impression.

funny story, I went for a huge interview and they flew me out there a long time ago. I forgot my dress shoes and had to wear my travel/tennis shoes to the interview in a suit.

I walked into the room with 10 people eyeing me up and down and simply greeted them with "Hello, you each get one joke on my shoes, but only one. Who's up?"

buy a new suit. macy's is having some nice sales...40% off most suits. So is men's warehouse. Just bought a whole new attire from macy's - shoes, suit, shirts, ties
