I just got a v3 2k, and i was playing CS when I noticed that when i zoom up to a box or gun or what have you, i see horizontal lines that break up the image. I think I read something before about it being an indication that the vid card was too hot or something... well I don't have it overclocked... what's wrong? Is this normal? I'm using opengl by the way. oh and one more thing, i'm also using the v5 drivers.

The only time I saw a problem like that was when the card was going bad. You may want to try different drivers though.

Do you have a monitor with a Sony picture tube? Those monitors have a horizontal wire in the middle. It has something to do with improving the image quality. Most people don't notice it unless they are looking for it.

No, I'm using Samsung 955DF which I think is shadow mask. Anyway those lines aren't what I'm talking about... I'm well aware of those two lines. The lines I'm talking about sort of looks like someone took a very fine point eraser and erased the picture in thin horizontal lines. It doesn't extend all throughout the screen, just on the picture. For example, if I was looking at blood, there would be lines on the blood but it wouldn't extend all the way through. I'll look at the v-sync also.

One more thing... I didn't notice this problem when I was playing NFS4: High Stakes, so far it's only been in CS.

I sounds like texture thrashing because of not enough RAM... I dont know why it would be doing it with that card though.
