We have so called high efficinecy washers in our dorms. The instruction is as follows:
1. add clothes
2. add detergent
3. insert laundry card and select a cycle
4. whites only: add bleach only when add bleach comes on (approx 27min remaining on display.. white cycle is 41min long)..
5. If you want to add fabric softener, you have to wait until "approx 13 min"... in other wants.. you better stay there the whole freaking time.
So, I showed up there when there was 26min remaining. waited until it went to 20min. No 'add bleach'.
WTF? this is so retarded. What do they expect me to do? Stand by and supervise the washer until add bleach comes on so that I can add it within a very small time frame in which I'm allowed to add bleach?
The washer at home was far more efficient. You add bleach and detergent when you start the cycle and forget about it. There's no going back 15 min later, let alone standing by so you can add bleach in a 15 second time allowance you're given..
