I am just trying to troubleshoot what is causing the problem with my new Video card and really hoping for a solution short of rma or other time consuming options. Temps seem fine and fan on Video card is loudest part of my pc.
The specs for the rig that this card is in are as follows:
Asus A8R32-MVP
2 GB of Mushkin Redline DDR 500
150 GB Raptor
Enermax Infinity 720W
Windows XP
BFG 7900 GTX OC
using ngohq.com latest drivers
Just installed today!
Problems are showing up in 2D Mode while initially testing card out at desktop and internet activities. Nothing that should stress it much, however I do work at 1920X1080.
In regards to the card, Per Ati tool Default 275 Core 800 Memory compared to 630 low 3D Core and stated OC 670 high 3D Core.. memory goes up to 840 in 3D mode.. so just the Core seems low to me, is it? If low, any way to adjust default settings to a higher number??
Problem first appeared when I loaded Desktop picture that was in 1920X1080.. started to get specs.. and even little dots in framed box around Recycle Bin, with shading turned off. Then.. more and more specs appeared everywhere..
I have been googling.. lots of false leads.. so linkies appreciated if they lead somewhere.
