Heard this today on the radio. Apparently gwenith paltrow <sp>, Chevy Chase, and Barbara Streishand are among those who support this SUVs cause terrorism hypothesis. Do you know what unites them all? They all drive SUVs. Barbara plans on selling hers and the Chases are going to get rid of theirs as soon as there is a hybrid SUV available. Paltrow drives a Mercedes SUV.

Which means that for the next 2-3 years, the Chases will be supporting terrorism. Hahaha.

Yes, but like an SUV, your car is fun and you like it. Don't you know that any car people like to drive is evil? We all need to be forced into tiny little econoboxes that we don't want to drive. That way, we'll all start hating driving and we'll rely on public transportation just like a bunch of good little socialists.

I bet! My thoughts are that if you're bad mouthing a 17 mpg SUV but live in an 8000 square foot mansion and drive a 10 mpg exotic or fly around in your private jet perhaps you shouldn't be looking down on the average SUV owner!

 
I don't like SUV's much when they're being used to transport a single person to work in a city - that's just useless. However, I think that this terrorism thing is moronic. By that arguement, ANYTHING that uses oil is funding terrorism - cars, trucks, airplanes, plastics...heck, the government buys plenty of oil itself. I guess that means that we're funding terrorism, and should be added to Bush's Axis of Evil?
