i'm doing video compilation at work - ran out of hard drive space

so we start cleaning things up. boss comes in and asks for demo of a video i've been working on, but it isn't rendered because i needed space to record stuff. i would go back and render, but all my files have been moved and need to be re-referenced. i would do that, but sony vegas won't start properly. so i install vegas on another machine, but 99% of the files i need aren't available on my backup drive.

so i get home to work on my upgraded rig - i format the wrong hard drive, so now i'm going back and forth trying to get windows to boot up just so i can copy what few files i have from one drive to another and install windows on the proper drive.
