Hi, this is my first build. I have a MSI K8-NEO Platinum Mobo and a (OEM)Hitachi/IBM Deskstar 7k250 SATA
Hdd. The motherboard came with a floppy with sata drivers. How do I install hard drive w/drivers after I put
the computer together and make sure it posts? All help will be appreciated. Also, any key things to remember
as i'm installing WinXP and fiddling with the memory timings in the bios? I don't plan to overclock.

I've never used an SATA drive before, so I may be a little off.

Put the floppy in the floppy drive and the Windows XP CD in the CD-ROM drive. Go into your BIOS and make sure the CD-ROM is set to the first boot priority. When you reboot and go into Windows setup, pay attention to the bottom of the screen. You'll see something that says hit a button (F8 I think) to install 3rd party drivers. Do that and follow the prompts. You can also look on MSI's website for info on doing this, just in case I goofed.

EDIT: Scroll down to the Installing Windows 200/XP on a SATA Drive Section.

Hit F6 after the windows install screen shows and S to specify device. Following that, simply select the sata drivers from the floppy.
