I'm graduating on May 13, hooray!

I've had my head down so long, working and going to school and owning a house and being married. It didn't really hit me until yesterday, but I'm done! This will be a massive weight off my shoulders.

Now, when I go home, I have nothing I HAVE to do. The last time I felt this way was probably summer vacation after 8th grade.

No job to look for, no school loans to pay off, no more homework or papers or projects. Wow.

Sorry, I guess this could be a "Dear Myspace" post, I just wanted to bask in it a bit. Anyone else graduating this May?

Congrats dude, I'm finishing my Associates' in June and have no debt. Looking forward to getting a good job and a place that will pay for my Bachelor's eventually.

It's not easy, I'm glad to see someone who still works hard for what they want.

Congratulations on graduating and for extra points for doing it debt-free and while married. As for having nothing to do, I'm sure your wife is busy putting together a honey do list. :)

A combo of scholarships that paid for 2.5 years of it, and great parents who've been putting the money away for years so they could do the rest. They actually have money left over.

And yes, I already have a list of things around the house that need to get done, only a few of which are my ideas :D. It's ok, though. She does a lot too, and has been very supportive of me while I finished.

I'm 23.

edit: and thanks for the congrats, all.:thumbsup:

Congrats, hopefully I'll be able to have my own thread in August (yes, I'll be taking 5 classes over the summer and taking break from my current job so I can graduate).I'll be debt free(paid my way through college) and 21.

It sounds like he worked his a$$ off for his scholarships, and his parents did help, but he didnt get a free ride.

Anyways, congrats! Not having to worry about Sallie Mae every month will be a huge relief.

I wouldn't call it a free ride, but I am very fortunate to have parents that planned for this so I could finish without any loans. But my wife has school loans, so I'm not completely free of them.

Platypus, I work at a company on the south side of downtown, but given the large IT dept there it's possible other posters might also work there, and I'd rather not out myself :D.

ngvepforever2 - good luck with the 5 summer classes (ouch!), and good for you for paying your own way through. That's tough.
