I took the exam on April 22. They supposedly emailed results on May 1. I never received them. After many calls and emails, they finally resent them and I found out I passed the exam. I am not impressed with their responsiveness but at least I passed. I got lucky because I am now grandfathered in to the old 4 years experience rules instead of the new 5 years experience rules.

About the exam: I studied slowly over about 8 months and primarily read the Shon Harris All-In-One book. I did a few practice exams on ccure but I lost motivation when I quit my previous job. I went in and took it without much preparation. I blew out of there in 2 hours because I was so unconcerned; I didn't even check my answers. I found the exam questions to be really poorly written. Some of the questions would be along the lines of "The principal reason to do this" followed by "The main reason to do this" and each answer of the two was completely different. Some of the questions were fact-based slam dunks about subjects I am extremely familiar with from grad school or work experience and I guess those were the ones that made the difference for me. At least it is over and maybe one day it will come in useful.
