So apparently the university that I am working at has, in addition to a clinic with doctors and pharmacy like my last uni, a dentist and dental surgeon office for its staff and students. With the health insurance that I get from the uni, and the fact that I'm in Asia, it's really bloody cheap. I just got a check-up, bitewing x-rays, and a cleaning for around $36 USD. I'm scheduled to come in for a filling later this month for $18 USD. At these prices, it's almost fun to have dental surgery. Probably be a good time for me to get my wisdom teeth pulled but at 26 I have feeling that I'm too old for this to be a very comfortable procedure.

The only thing I need to check is to make sure that the School of Dentistry is located somewhere else in the city or this could help explain the pricing plan.

I've been tempted to go to my school's school of dentistry, but it's a little different here I think... I don't think they offer regular visitation/appointments, but I think every year they hold a thing where they want a lot of volunteers for a free cleaning for the school's exams, but there's a chance for future 'participation' if you have certain things they would be looking for in regards to advanced care, aka more testing if I can figure that our correctly. So, basically if you have cavities and stuff, they might use you for more stuff.

But yeah, as I've said I've been tempted for that, but the issue is... I hate dentists. I hate dentists with years of practice and degrees and certifications and state backing. I'm pretty sure I'm going to fear someone in school working on me. I've had, and still have, so many problems in my mouth. And what's worse is even with a full shot of Novocaine in my mouth and laughing gas, I can still feel the work that isn't just superficial. My mouth is just wired to feel everything, no matter how much I'm drugged. I need to be straight up knocked out with drugs or else I don't want to visit another one. It's like torture, but aimless, because they aren't pressing for any information. But I think they'd get any information they wanted if I could just make it stop. Ugh.
