Hooray for newegg!!

I ordered an Abit motherboard with the rest of my parts, the mobo was busted (refused to post with a geforce 4 card, refused to post with things plugged into the ide ports with an older video card), I rma'ed it, ordered a nice new nforce board, and they bumped me up to overnight shipping for free!!


Thank goodness for companies that still care!

I just wish they offered UPS -- FedEx drivers in my neighborhood are idiots. Twice in the last six months (out of only 4-5 orders) they've delivered my package to a completely different apartment building! It looks like my current order has been lost for good (last once was found in a couple of days) and I'm now starting on the claims process. :disgust: :|

I'm super happy with newegg today . Ordered my GF4 on sunday night, got it today before noon, coming cross country. Now if I can find 3Dmark installed on my system, we'll see how much of a difference this made

Ouch, that really does stink.
I just have stuff delivered to work. It's a lot easier for me and really hard for any driver to screw up.

When newegg first cropped up into the spotlight, people said they just emulated Multiwave's site (and mwave was pissed too).

But they didn't stop there and have really built an outstanding site and business with quality customer support. Kudos.

My only complaint has been the way they run their "refurbished" items (particularly mobo's) so I've just learned to avoid them and am a very happy camper otherwise.

Mwave is still awesome tho, just not as deep as newegg.

my newegg story:

During a thunder-storm, my pc went down and when it came back up it was without my liteon 12x burner (which i bought at newegg). 11 Months after purchase, I RMA'd the drive. First off, I think after 11 Months, it would be liteons responsability, not neweggs. Anyway, newegg obviously did not have 12x's around anymore, as it was about a year later. They sent me the liteon40x (and it had only been out for like 3 weeks at the time). Even better, the drive was $15 less than I paid for my origonal 12x, so the drive had a $15 check with it.

I know if you check pricewatch, you can typically find lower prices that newegg, but I would rather pay 10% more for two reasons. First off, I know that if I've got a problem they'll take care of it. Second, I prefer my funds to be in the hands of a company that treats its customers right
