After days of pulling out my hair with a Geforce 3 ti200 and it's funky driver/XP clashes, I took it back and got an ATI 8500 LE from newegg. For the same price as the Geforce, I get better framerates, better picture quality (using DVI), and dual display support! Plus, there's always the option to overclock it to retail (275/275) speeds with a little pencil trick and a flash util. And it doesn't randomly reboot XP ;-)

Thanks to all of y'all that recommended the card to me.

Do you have to do the pencil trick and bios flash...doesnt power strip work?

problem is that the Radeon LE cards ship with a lower voltage...so it's harder to clock them...because they don't get much juice...but the pencil trick...adds more voltage and when you flash the LE's bios to a retail bios...it sets the voltage to the retail version...which allows the core and memory to get more juice...allowing higher clock speeds...

anyone got a good link that points directly to easy directions on the pencil trick. Want to see if it's too risky before I think about getting the LE.
