hooking up waterblocks

I currently have a CPU waterblock hooked up to my koolance system. Have about 3 ft of hose going to it and 3ft coming back from it. Now with the new cards I am finally getting a GPU block (mcw60). Can I just leave one of the 3 ft hoses going into the CPU block, put the other coming out of the GPU block and put an additional 1 ft section connecting the two? Or is there some other way to hook these all up that would be more thermally efficeint? thanks
 
You going to run SLI?
The "ideal" loop would be pump>rad>cpu>gpu>res/t-line>pump
If you had 2 GPU's you would just add the next one right after the other one:
pump>rad>cpu>gpu>gpu>res/t-line>pump.

Your last post about covers it. Just go from the CPU to the GPU.

In theory, running them in parallel might be SLIGHTLY better, but it is unlikely to make a big difference if you have an adequate radiator.

In the Pump->CPU->GPU->Pump config, the water feeding the GPU is going to be slightly warmer than it would be if you split the line and ran them in parallel.

The water doesn't get that warm. When it runs at such a high speed, it doesn't heat up that quickly. Running the cpu>gpu shouldn't be a problem. With my new WC setup, I'm running it from cpu>gpu>gpu which still shouldn't cause a problem for me.
