hooking up two headsets at once while gaming with a buddy.

So last night a buddy and I tried to use my two wireless headsets while doing some multi player and it wouldn't work for some reason.

Any ideas? There was no communication at all, the console said the headset was connected but he couldn't hear or say anything.

Thanks 🙂

Dont quote me, but I believe that you can only have one of the two people using the same gamertag talking. In order for both to have voice, you need to both sign in under your own account.

I think you may be correct. It seems as though no ones guest has voice when playing online.

Thanks for the help. 🙂

I actually think that you need to have a splitter on one controller running to two headsets. Haven't really heard of doing it any other way

Link is to the headset splitter

With Halo 3 you can BOTH USE A HEADSET ONLY if you BOTH have XBOX live gold accounts. I beleive this also worked with Gears

Not to take this too off topic, but if you have a friend with an XBL Gold account could they sign into that on your hard drive under their own account as opposed to being you (1)?

I would imagine not, but this thread made me wonder... 😀
