ok i just bought a tv. i want to set it up so the sound will go through my logitech z-560's. is it possible? do i have to hook up the audio out from the tv to the back of my sound card? if someone has done this before can u tell me? i dont really want to buy a receiver but if i need to then tell me. please be specific, like what kind of wires to get...etc. thanks guys!

I'm going to assume your TV's line-out is just standard dual phono jacks, right? (Red & white?)

What's the input on the back of the z560s? I'm sure you can go to Radio Shack or some parts store and say "I want to go from audio plug X to audio plug Y" and they've got the adaptor or a series that'll do it.

Sounds like a 1/8" gender-bender (two female 1/8" plugs) followed by a 1/8" to phono should do it. If I'm too technical, just troutslap me and I'll try to reword it.

Directly to the speakers, unless you want to record the output. The z560s have plenty of power to amplify that signal, so no need for a separate amp unless you want a remote or something. 😛

You could probably just got into the headphone plug on your tv, or get a Radio Shack plug that is 1/8" female STEREO, to White/Red RCA male and then be happy.
