Hooking up iPod to Car

There's a FM transmitter for the Ipod that would have you tune on a specific frequency to listen to your ipod. IIRC

if you have an auxillary output on your car deck you could use that, i think there is a tutorial that i ran into in car forums... the guy hooked up an ipod through aux using his stock setup in BMW M3 think it was 03 BMW Let me try to find it and ill post it up if i can find it

Transpod Ipod Receiver

I got that for my brother and he loves it.

Definitely recommended. The coolest thing is that you can set it to ANY of the FM frequencies your radio can pick up, instead of just 88.7 or 88.9 or something like most of the other tranceivers offer.

For better sound quality, look into hardwiring (AUX in or at the very least FM modulation) your iPod to your car's stereo.

A friend of mine has the fm transmitter, not the greatest thing around
The sound quality is decent. Just get a one of the tape deck feed ones, not sure where you can get them though

are you sure it wasn't a new bmw? the new bmws come with ipod docks.

A lot of aftermarket decks have either an RCA aux in, or a proprietary aux in cable. I had to buy a cable (from crutchfields) for my alpine to accept RCA originally, but my XM tuner has RCA inputs too.
