I've got an AIW 9800pro card, I've just discovered that in order to use component mode instead of the composite/s-video out mode, I have too hookup the computer back to a computer monitor then plug in the Component cable plug... I've got two questions.
1. Why is it that the computer seemingly supports 60hz with composite/s-video out but only 30hz with component out?
2. And the most important question, how do you optimize windows XP for 640X480 operation? Most system menus fill up a lot more 432 vertical lines (Screen res in optimized mode is 640X432) and I'm not able to increase the resolution past that (I used to be able to used 800X600 and 1024X768 in composite/s-video mode) and again I don't know why.
So, how do you optimize Windows so that it work at low resolutions?
