I am going to be building my first computer sometime in the near future, and i have a question about setting up the PSU. Is there any specific way to plug in the power plugs from the PSU? Or do they just go wherever they're needed?

I realize it may be difficult to understand, what i mean is is there any order in which the plugs comming out of the PSU have to be plugged in? Do you have to go to something in particular or wherever that type of connection is needed?

the power connectors are usually self-explanatory. you can tell if it fits or not. SATA needs a special adapter, which your motherboard includes sometimes or your power supply will have it.

I always plug the power into the mobo first - don't forget the P4-12V plug (4-pin square) if your mobo has one. Then I plug up the peripherals trying to spread the load over the various segments of drive power leads.
