Hey, I have a Samsung 50" DLP HDTV with VGA and DVI inputs.

My video card outputs DVI (Dual).

I run Dual monitor (19" LCD and the 50" TV) but the image to my TV is kinda blurry. Is this because I'm using 25' of VGA cable (I have a DVI to VGA converter on the output of my card)?

Would the blurryness go away if I used DVI cable instead of VGA? Or is it the length?

EDIT: or is this something I will have to live with?

EDIT2: The reason I used VGA is because it is a lot cheaper than DVI

EDIT3: I know the TV is good b/c the menus and everything else is perfectly clear.

EDIT4: Formatting

I know for a fact that DVI cables over a certain length (I think 4m) will suffer signal degradation. I'm not sure if it's the same case with VGA, but it's quite possible. However, I'd still recommend you use a DVI cable if at all possible, something high quality that can ensure minimal signal loss (possibly something with a signal boost)

This really depends on the signal processors in your DLP TV and your video drivers, make sure you have everything set to your TV's naitive resolution and refresh rate and turn off overscan if its on in the drivers you may need powerstrip or something like it to set a custom res / refresh if you can't get your TV's naitive res. using a VGA cable 25' in legnth is pretty much sure to mess up your signal unless its an extreamly well made and sheilded cable, I'm guessing your TVs RGB 15pin dsub connector isn't that good either since it also includes DVI / HDMI, so I'd suggest at least testing the DVI and see if that clears things up, Check out Avsfourms for more info on using your TV as a 2ndary display

sorry for the long post w/ no page breaks :p
