Hooking up 2 cable lines.

I have RR with Time Warner Cable. The download speed is great. The upload speed isnt where i want it to be(capped@360). I was gonna have another cable line installed and was wondering if there is any way to combine the 2 lines to get around 720 upload??

This has been asked a few times already, and I think the answer is no. Most have wondered whether they could combine it to get double the download speed. But if you have 2 lines going into your computer, you'll just be getting 2 separate capped speeds. Hope this helps.

yea..I didnt think it would work...but thought maybe i would get an opinion from some people more knowedgable than me..was hoping there was some kind of program or router hack that would work...thanks anyways.

The units do support multichannel load balancing, but this is by stream. So, you won't get to upload a single file at 720k*2. You can upload 2 files, each at 720k at the same time. Make sense? We also sell these units (with additional VPN capabilities) as a Symantec branded product, so I'm pretty familiar with em (have one here at the house)

Buisness class? Is that more expensive? Or if i tell them i am running a home buisness will they just uncap my home cable?

I am looking threw some linux documentation to see how easy it would be to set up a load balancing router (if that is the proper term)

Toshiba...lol....i aint complaining, just wondering since sdsl with compparible(768)upload speeds would cost me 149 a month with a one year contract and purchase of router and installation. I can get both cable lines for 90 a month, free installation and modem, and no contract if it dont work out. Im just Kmart cheap...using a Linux box sounds interesting, please LMK if u find anything promising..thnx man.

Ya I was just joking. I hate my 128k cap. I host lan parties and when we want to put one of our servers on the internet, the 128 cap just dosent work well. I have a cable modem, a friend of mine does too, so I figured during lan parties he could bring his modem over and if this server would work, we could have 2x the speed. Right now I have a celeron 533 machine, was a server for smaller games, but I am going to try turning it into a load balancing router. I have one nic in it now(all pci slots full now), so also have 2 usb nics that I hope will work. I havent found much info, but so far I believe its possible. How dificult it will be, I dont know yet.

Garrett.
