Hooking PC Monitor to Ultra 10

n0cmonkey answered this before and I just want some clarification.

Got my Sun box today, and tried hooking three different monitors to it.
Two 17inch and one 15inch. Nothing worked.

There's that 13w3 adapter that allows you to use your PC monitor,
but does it really work? If not, I mind as well buy a monitor.

I had one that worked for a short time then stopped working. I managed to pick up a 17" Sun monitor for about $60USD (inc. shipping :Q) on ebay.

I have one of those adaptors for my Ultra1 and it's worked fine since I got it. Also you need a monitor that can do a decent resolution (think by default the framebuffer on my Ultra1 did 1152x900 or something strange).

used one on like 3 different ultra 10's, never had a problem. Had to telnet into one and kick the resolution down cause it was hooked up to an old 14", but got it working in a few minutes.

There is really no reason that the adapter shouldn't work, unless its simply bad to start out with... they do not really have compatibility issues or anything, its a simple piece of hardware, no logic in it.

If you have a spare PCI slot, you can get a PCI video card for your sparc10.
I've got quite a few of them, and they are very cheap. (25-35$ on ebay)
