Hooking my computer to my TV

How do you make sure Vista is displaying the TV at 1080P? Is there anything I should do to make sure my TV or monitor isn't damaged by messing with the resolutions.

Your ATI drivers should take care of it. In the CCC there should be options for TVs and such.

You don't really have to do anything to make sure the TV isn't damaged; plasmas may suffer from Image Retention (IR), but the newer one's should not have that problem. LCD's - no worries. DLP/Rear Projection - shouldn't be a problem with IR.
