I've got a laptop currently using only 2 of the speakers of my BA4800s. I'm getting a TV soon, and instead of using the piss poor tv speakers, I'd like to use the other 2 speakers from the BA4800s. But I'd also like to put the sub on it as well, and besides, the speakers are powered through the sub.

I wont be using them too often togeher, so the possible doubling of the bass doesnt concern me so much.

Is it possible? What cables to use, and how to hook em up?

The sub will normally get bass signals from both the front and rear channels (or in your case PC and TV channels).

It will crossover it out of both channels and send it to the woofer.
This won't cause damage to the unit, but it may sound a little odd.

All you need to do is make sure your TV supports audio out, if it does it will probably be in the form of dual RCAs, so you just need a Stereo mini-jack to Dual RCA converter. The stereo minijack goes into the BA4800 rear channel, and the two RCAs go onto the TV.

This converter can be had for about $3 from Radio shack.

So what would it sound like? Would they cancel or add?

The tv definitely has audio out.

Anyone else tried this kind of thing?
