Hooking a computer to hdtv

Hello--

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with hooking up a computer to a hdtv through the hdtv input (not the component or s-video). Wanted to be able to play games on it while still being able to read the text. Any suggestions would be great (converter boxes, video card, etc.). Thanks

That is a good question, I'm interested to know myself. I currently plug my XBox into the video in of my Radeon VIVO which yields pretty good quality, but it would be nice to be able to buy the XBox HD pack and plug it directly into my switch box for direct use with my monitor at higher resolutions.
