Heading out in a few minutes to spend the rest of my Christmas evening chilling at the hookah bar with some pals. I'm thinking of trying some watermelon shisha, but I might go for something even more exotic. 😛 Anyone else like to partake in the hookah?
 
When I had a hookah I kept a running mix of shisha... whenever a bag (or box, or jar, or wax paper wrapped glob) of shisha was almost gone, I'd take the remnants and toss them in a jar with the other leftovers. After a couple months it was delicious.

On topic: how smooth is the fruity tobacco? I would've thought that the added fruit/flavorings would make the smoke a bit harsh, but I've never tried...

The smoke is very smooth as long as it's at the proper temperature. If there are too many coals or the coal is too big for the amount of tobacco, the smoke will be very harsh.

My friend and I got the double apple, and it was amazing! So tasty, and it let me finally get a chance to just chill after all the stress the holidays has caused.
 
I freaking hate Michigan. Not only do hookers not have their own bars here, just being a hooker is illegal.

Whoa, didn't know there were that many hookah afficionados here.

Anyways, I just wanted to bpoint out that if you think douvle apple is great, you haven't tried that many flavors yet. I personally thought it was the worst because it made me feel way too light-headed.

Mixing is "teh win". I just tried a mix of rose and mint flavors with some ice in the water bowl, and it was probably the best "mashup" ever.

The key too a smooth smoke is not a cold water, though that is secondary. Primarily you have to get the right size of coal onto the top. If you've got this round easy light types, you should break them in quarters, and then try putting three quarters on it.

Hookahs (or shisha's as they're also know as) themselves are pretty cheap. It's probably not more than 50 USD for the bag, in which you get the shisha itself, a pipe to smoke with, and a cleaning brush. The flavors cost around 15 USD/500 grams, IIRC.
