Hook up a PS3 to my LCD monitor???

I have a PS3 console and I'm trying to hook it up to my Acer AL2216Wbd 22" lcd monitor. The monitor itself is not HDCP compliant so an HDMI to DVI cable is out of the question. I also would like to use my 5.1 computer speaker set but I have no clue as to how to go about hooking them up to the PS3 console. Any ideas???

Hmmm...i just picked up one of these as well(Acer) fo rthe express purpose of hooking my 360 up to it, along with my Logitech Z-640's.

The PS3 doesn't have a VGA cable out yet? That seems odd. Anyhow, that's how my 360 is hooked up.

As for the speakers, my Z-640's came with an adapter that takes two of the three 3.5mm inputs and converts them to two female RCA jacks (R+L). Then you use the matrix button on the center channel and it converts the signal. The third jack goes unused (center and LFE).

Hope that helps a bit.

The HDCP requirement won't matter for games. Now if you want hi-def movies, you might need it, but only if the ICT is enabled.
