Honoring Price Mistakes

This is one reason I like IBM, they will honor a pricing error. I bought a T41 but due to a pricing mistake I paid $200 less than I should have. I found out when I called about my order status. They told me that I was luck because of the pricing mistake and they would still honor the price. Other companies like Dell do not honor pricing mistakes, and I think thats wrong of them. They should honor it.

I called in an order on a Inspiron 8500 after configuring on the net. It came out 30 bucks less because on the old site I clicked on "Notebooks" at the bottom instead of going straight to "Home User". They allowed it. Also she called it in and they fixed it. (Well the new site was being rolled out the next day.) Also told me about another 100 off that I didn't know about.

About your T41, did you get the $17xx that was supposed to be $19xx. Like 2 weeks ago. I saw that and almost ordered one but I am waiting until later in the year.

Nope, the last two hot dell pricing mistakes were not honored at all. E.g., Axim and recently the Rio. I don't believe they should lose millions on a pricing mistake; but just pointing out that they are definitely not a company that honors pricing mistakes.
