Show of hands for those who still need more evidence the Republican Party is the racist party. Before you bring it up Robert Byrd publicly renounced the Klan over 50 years ago and said...

joining the Klan was "the greatest mistake I ever made.”

I am amazed at how quickly such a large percentage of this country went open fascist. Howard Dean was eliminated as candidate as President because he yelled wooooooweeee and the other side loves …Trumpolini. The raping conman found guilty in court of fraud.

A trend I lay at Trump's feet because he popularized racism as something that no one should be ashamed of. He set in place a "new normal" for racists to take advantage of. He delivered unto the racists of the nation their messiah. He and they are one.

And ~70 million Americans think that's just fine and dandy, especially the religious nationalists that are exploiting this circumstance. Through Trump they have a voice and a means to transform their beliefs into laws that the rest of us must obey or suffer the consequences thereof. They have a higher authority than Our Constitution to rule their lives whereas the rest of us only have that Document to live by. This is where they chose to battle for the soul of the nation. They want their higher authority to supersede the laws of our land wherever our laws restrict their use of their higher authority's guidance.

The key to all of this is Trump winning his reelection come November. FTS

Standards have changed. When John McCain challenged the woman who called Obama an Arab that would usually get you atta boys from your party. In today's GOP you are scorned.

It's not clear whether the Missouri GOP can reject McClanahan’s candidacy or whether he'll appear on the official ballot, although he is listed first on the unofficial ballot because candidates draw numbers when filing and his choice placed him at the top.

Sounds like an asshole making waves to me.

He could be Greenman's neighbor honestly. But Greenman hasn't really seen racism in the suburban deep south there so that can't be possible now that I think of it.

For a party that found a way not to remove an impeached President I’m sure if they wanted to they could have found something to get him off the ballot.

It wasn’t important enough for them. Remember these are the same Republicans that voted down not to associate with Nazis in Texas.

Same party

BTW - you should have raised your hand. I put it in the OP

You seem to think being impeached has some meaning. It affected Trump no more than it did Clinton.
Not sure what the rest of your little rant is about. That first paragraph is a quote from Wikipedia, if you have an issue with it take it up with them.

My point was is there enough evidence to conclude the Republican Party is racist.

I was preempting people when I point out GOP racism the retort from the right is often Robert Byrd.

The party could have put out a statement something like, "We don't support Klan members in our party and he does not deserve your support". At least it would have shown Republicans don't want these people in their party. Seems like they do.

He thinks that calling him a white supremacist is false and damaging to his reputation but he describes himself as "pro-white." Seems to me like a distinction without a difference.
Look, I'm "pro-Reese's peanut butter cups" but in no way am I a Reese's supremacist.

Twix are way better.
