honeymoon suggestions

Need some suggestions on where to go! Also, what are some places to check, travelzoo, expedia, priceline?

When: Late June of this year.
Price range: $1300 per person.
What: Anything is cool, but leaning towards more relaxing, art versus nightlife.

Hawaii
Bora Bora
Tahiti
Fiji
Costa Rica

Sandals St. Lucia. All inclusive. Do as little or as much as you want. Eat, drink, swim, sunbathe, snorkel, or scuba until you are blue in the face.

Just nab the cheapest rooms they have available. There isn't much need to upgrade all you'll be doing in your room is sleeping...and honeymoon activities. The rest of the time you'll be on the resort having fun.

We went to Antigua for our wedding/honeymoon. We're looking to St. Lucia for our next trip.

My wife and I had a great time in Jamaica on our honeymoon. We stayed at an all-inclusive called Sunset Beach Resort in Montego Bay.

All these Carribean destination? You realize the OP is talking the end of June? I hope you like heat and humidity.

Personally, consider an Alaskan cruise or something.

well youw on't be going to tahiti or bora bora for $1300 per person, but that is DEFINITELY the place i would recommend and I hope to go eventually when I go on my honey moon when i get married down the road.

i'm going to aruba this summer and it looks like a really REALLY nice place, try looking there maybe.

Where did you get your package to Aruba and how much was it?

Just threw out some suggestions that our co-workers and friends suggested.

agreed. those destinations are best enjoyed in winter months.

We enjoyed Jamaica in late August. There are fewer crowds, and the weather was fine. You play a little bit of roulette with the hurricanes though. Make sure if you are doing Caribbean you have the option to get a refund or reschedule your trip.

Going June 18 for 9 days to Bitter End Yacht Club on Virgin Gorda in the BVI. Came out to be about $1,200 per person. Food included, but no drinks. However, all of the watercraft are included. Also have a 22' speedboat for 2 days. I'd rather spend the money on the booze and get the watercraft for free. Much cheaper than doing it the other way around (over $300 a day for a speedboat rental normally).

Hawaii can be done for $1300pp.
tight - depends on how many nights... is this 1 or 2 weeks ? You can get the best hotels in Maui for $170/night... so you can skimp on those if necessary. The biggest factor is airfare to get there... that cost us $1500 total alone... no real deals unless you have miles.

Just for comparison, we did our 2 week trip for $5500 or so. 1 week at $2600 is feasible.

My fiancee's Mom got roundtrip tix from DTW-KOA for $440/pp, we are staying at the Hilton Waikoloa for $135/night. Rental car was $25/day, including a $15/day under-25 surcharge.

I think we spent $2200 the first time we went there and $3000 the second. This time we spendt $3200 on flights alone. :Q

ouch, looks like we'll have to look at our budget again ... 🙁

For $1300 per person, you can come crash on my couch. Just don't leave any love stains...I've had a time cleaning up the ones the last couple left.
